Hit TV show to visit DC, needs volunteers

The popular ABC television show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" will visit the D.C. area sometime this month to build a home and community center, WTOP Radio reports. The show is in need of volunteers and skilled professionals to help.

Hosted by Ty Pennington, the reality show follows a group of designers and volunteers who spend a week constructing homes and community centers.

While producers are not yet revealing the precise location of the builds, the home is expected to be constructed in Maryland, and a community center will be erected in the district.
