What To Do This Holiday Weekend

Stuck in DC for the holidays? Don’t worry there are plenty to of ways to celebrate here. Tonight is the first night of Passover and many will be celebrating at GW Hillel, but unfortunately you had to reserve your Seder dinner prior to the event. Although it may take a little bit of effort to get there, the B’Nai Israel Congregation will be hosting the First Night Passover Seder in Rockville Maryland. It begins at 7:00 pm, but it will cost you $50. There are also plenty of restaurants in DC with a Passover menu; for example, the Hudson Restaurant - only a few blocks from campus - will have a special menu from April 8th to the 10th.

If you are looking for Easter festivities, there are a bunch happening in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.  On Monday, April 13, is the annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House, but you will need a ticket and a child under 10 years old to attend.  Also on Monday, head over to the National Zoo, admission is free and there will egg hunts, egg decorating, and entertainment. This Saturday there will also be an egg hunt in Alexandria at Gadsby’s Tavern, admission is $5. Don’t forget your Easter basket!
